FAQs 2 Day Trek

1. Where do we sleep during the overnight jungle trek?

You will sleep in a simple jungle camp that has been fully prepared for you before your arrival. The semi permanent tents are fitted with mosquito nets, blankets, foam mattresses and pillows.

2. Are toilets and washing facilities available in the jungle?

Facilities are basic in the jungle, however there are simple jungle-style toilets, whilst all bathing is done in the fresh water river.

3. What food is provided on the overnight trek?

All 2 meals are freshly prepared by your guiding team, using local ingredients, and predominantly Indonesia dishes, cooked for the western palette. Dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.

4. Is the overnight trek suitable for children?

This trek is best suited to children who are comfortable sleeping outdoors and walking for longer periods. Nevertheless, overnight treks can be adapted to suit younger children better, by arriving at the camp site earlier, and staying at more child suitable camps.

5. How much walking is involved on the 2 day trek?

Walking is spread over two days with regular breaks, allowing deeper exploration into the jungle at a relaxed pace. If on the second day you would prefer to skip hiking and just enjoy the jungle river set-up, the raft can be brought all the way up to the campsite.
